Restart Energy is excited

Restart Energy is excited to report that India’s renewable energy sector continues to progress significantly toward its ambitious green energy targets. As of July 2024, India has achieved a total installed renewable energy capacity of 197.20 GW, inclusive of large hydropower projects. This accomplishment is part of India’s larger mission to establish 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030.

The tremendous progress in renewable energy has been fueled by robust government support, leading to record-setting tender issuances of nearly 69.8 GW in fiscal 2024. This milestone surpasses the government’s annual target of 50 GW, driven by increasing investor confidence, favorable government policies, and a recovery in market conditions post the global disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical conflicts
